April 2015 | Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon – Closing Survey

Closing Survey:

1 ) Which hour was most daunting for you?
Considering I passed out somewhere between hour 15 and 16, I think all the hours after that (16-24) were the most difficult to get any reading done. Oh if only I could read in my sleep!
2 ) Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year?
I usually read the books I’m currently reading when I start a readathon, but if you’re looking for books you can finish quickly, I recommend graphic novels or maybe the manga you’ve been interested in! Even if you’ve never read a graphic novel before, start now! They’re super fun and short, quick reads. I wish I had more of them on my bookshelf.
3 ) Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
Not that I can think of, as always you guys are doing great!
4 ) What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon?
All of the hour updates worked really well. They were always fun to read and up quickly.
5 ) How many books did you read?
I finished one book and started another.
6 ) What were the names of the books you read?
Library of Souls and Losing Hope
7 ) Which book did you enjoy most?
I suppose Library of Souls because it’s the only one I finished.
8 ) Which did you enjoy least?
I’m not going to say Losing Hope because I’m really enjoying it right now! So I guess none of the books 😛
9 ) If you were a Cheerleader, do you have any advice for next year’s Cheerleaders?
Wasn’t a cheerleader, but it seems liked a fun job!
10 ) How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time?
I’m definitely participating again next time! I’m most likely going to be a reader again, but being a cheerleader seems like fun! I’d like to try it at least once.

Wrap-Up:

Book(s) finished: Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs
Book(s) started: Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover
Pages read total: 266 pages

How did you guys do?!

I stayed up later and read a lot more last readathon in April than I did this year so I’m a bit disappointed about that, but I still had a ton of fun! I can’t wait for the next one!

October 2015 | Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon – Mid-Event Survey

Mid-Event Survey:

1. What are you reading right now?
Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover!
2. How many books have you read so far?
I’ve finished one book so far.
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
My hope is to finish Losing Hope, I’m only about halfway done so hopefully I can do it! If by some miracle I finish hours early I plan to start The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson.
4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
I’ve had a few interruptions, I went shopping with my parents for a bit and as always the internet is a huge distraction.
5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
It’s not that big of a surprise really, but I’ve talked with a bunch of other participants, mostly about books of course, and it’s been a lot of fun!

Back to reading! Losing Hope! I’m coming for you!

October 2015 | Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon – Hour 2 & 3

Hour 2 – Readathon Mini-Challenge: Cover Escape!

The Night Circus

Although there’s a ton of places I’d love to go, one of my ultimate cover escapes is definitely to The Night Circus. Throughout reading The Night Circus all I wanted to do was escape into the magical world of the circus. It sounded absolutely lovely and I really wish it were real so I could go and experience it.

Hour 3 –

We’re already at hour 3! I just finished up Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs and I’m now going to start Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover! I have some errands to run with my parents later today so hopefully I can get some more reading done before then.

How are you guys doing? I hope you’re all having fun like I am! ❤

I’m hungry so I’m going to get some food now. ^o^

October 2015 | Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon – Introduction Survey

Opening Meme:

1 ) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
I’m reading from Vermont in the United States!
2 ) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
Definitely Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover! I read Hopeless a while ago and I really loved it!
HOLDER ❤
3 ) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
I rarely eat when I’m reading, but I’ll definitely be chewing on some Muddies Buddies and Sour Patch Kids sometime today.
4 ) Tell us a little something about yourself!
Hello everyone! My name is Sally and I’m fifteen years old. I’m currently learning how to drive (so I can go to the bookstore more lmfao) and I’m really bad at it! But I’m practicing so hopefully I can become better.
5 ) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
I’m going to try to go on the internet less and read more! We’ll see how it goes. I bet I’ll fail miserably, but that’s okay! I’m really looked forward to the challenges, they are one of my favorite things about this readathon! 🙂

I’m actually on time this time! Usually I sleep in, but I woke up early today and I’m so ready to read!

LET’S DO THIS!

And the BookTube-A-Thon is over! I completed 5 challenges and read 5 books! I didn’t do as well as I did last year, but I’m still extremely proud of all the books I read!

I sadly didn’t get to Tuck Everlasting or Gathering Blue (my two shortest books too!) I probably would have had time for one more book on that last day, but I had no motivation to read so I just went to sleep.

How did you guys do? I think I’m going to sleep for a week, I’m exhausted.

Can’t wait for next year! This was so much fun! ❤
