(from GoodReads)
“Hi, I’m the guy who reads your e-mail, and also, I love you . . . “
Beth Fremont and Jennifer Scribner-Snyder know that somebody is monitoring their work e-mail. (Everybody in the newsroom knows. It’s company policy.) But they can’t quite bring themselves to take it seriously. They go on sending each other endless and endlessly hilarious e-mails, discussing every aspect of their personal lives.
Meanwhile, Lincoln O’Neill can’t believe this is his job now- reading other people’s e-mail. When he applied to be “internet security officer,” he pictured himself building firewalls and crushing hackers- not writing up a report every time a sports reporter forwards a dirty joke.
When Lincoln comes across Beth’s and Jennifer’s messages, he knows he should turn them in. But he can’t help being entertained-and captivated-by their stories.
By the time Lincoln realizes he’s falling for Beth, it’s way too late to introduce himself.
What would he say . . . ?

“There are moments when you can’t believe something wonderful is happening. And there are moments when your entire consciousness is filled with knowing absolutely that something wonderful is happening.”
Gah, this book was so cute!
Attachments was my second Rainbow Rowell book and I really enjoyed it!
What I love so much about Rainbow’s books is how all of her characters feel so real, real people who I could actually be friends with. They’re all so quirky and adorable and funny, but also have flaws that make them relatable too.
From the very beginning, I loved Jennifer and Beth. They’re both very likeable characters, and I loved the emails that they send each other. They were very funny and cute and I just absolutely loved their friendship!
Lincoln is also very likeable, I will admit his job was a little weird, but even so I found myself connecting with his character and rooting for him. Lincoln is a young adult that doesn’t really know what he’s doing with his life. He’s finished college multiple times, and has multiple degrees, but he doesn’t know what to do with them. He’s confused and unsure and I found myself very much relating to him in that aspect.
Throughout the book all the characters go through great character development. So much so that I feel like a proud parent.
Rainbow loves to end her books very openly, but even so I loved the ending and I’m really happy for Lincoln and all the rest of the characters. They really do feel like my best friends, if that makes any sense.
This book is just an overall super fun and adorable read. I recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a cute, funny, and romantic book to brighten up your mood and fill you up with all the happy feels.

Attachments was my TBR Jar pick for August, and I didn’t end up picking one for September or finishing Attachments up in time for an October pick, but my next pick for November is…
Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld!
Oh wow this book is pretty big! Not to mention how heavy the hardcover version is. It’s going to be a huge pain to lug around. I don’t know how quickly I’ll finish this book, considering the page count and how busy I’ve been with school recently, but hopefully I can start a few pages this month and finish it up in November. Wish me luck! 🙂
