WHY ARE BROADWAY TICKETS SO EXPENSIVE?

I’m trying to convince my parents to take me to see Hamilton, but tickets are so expensive and always sold out and ugh, I’m just so sad. I really wanted to see the show before Lin-Manuel Miranda leaves the cast *internally crying*
(btw, can i just say phillipa soo has the voice of an angel)

Anywhoo, as you can see I got a poop load of new books, but then again what’s new? *sigh* I seriously need to go on a book buying ban. A huge thank you to Big Honcho Media for sending me With Malice, my lovely sis for gifting me Sea Spell, my friend Tanika for giving me a copy of The Amazing Book is Not On Fire and to Book of the Month Club for sending me their June selection of books!

In other news, besides my struggle with self-control, the book club I’m apart of (@theliterarylions) will be reading The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson for July! I’m really excited because I heard that characters from Since You’ve Been Gone have a cameo! Ahhh, I’m hoping for some Frank and Emily scenes ❤ (Fremily?).

Oh and I impulsively started my reread for the Percy Jackson series and it was the best decision I ever made. Percy Jackson was exactly what I needed back in my awkward elementary school days and it’s still exactly what I need even now. The series is my childhood, it was my first love, and it will always have a special place in my heart.

Until next time everyone! Happy reading! More reviews and other posts to come! I have some posts I’ve wanted to do, I just need to get off my lazy butt and actually write them!

NINE DAYS UNTIL SUMMER VACATION. HALLELUJAH.

*awkward coughing* okay, so I’ve really been slacking in terms of reviewing books and updating this blog, ooooops? The truth is this blog has always been a fun thing for me to do from time to time when I wanted to. I tried to post once a week, but sometimes it just doesn’t happen. I very much still have no clue what I’m doing, and maybe that’s okay? I’ll keep trying, but if you really want to reach me the best place is definitely at my bookstagram page 🙂

In other news, the book club I’m apart of (@theliterarylions) will be reading The Star-Touched Queen as our June Debut book of the month! I’m really excited for this one, I’ve heard a lot of great things and my sister’s currently reading it too!

Until next time everyone! I definitely won’t be the first to admit this, but blogging is hard! Good ideas are so hard to come up with. What are some of the things you personally love reading about on book blogs? I’d love to hear some feedback!

GUYS, LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY UNTIL THE LAST STAR BY RICK YANCEY COMES OUT! MAY 24th, I’m so ready for you! (except not really). I have no clue how the 5th Wave series will end, I’m so nervous. I just don’t want my baby Evan to die!

In other news, the book club I’m apart of (@theliterarylions) will be reading A Court of Thorns and Roses and A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas as our Magical May book of the month! Besides The Last Star, A Court of Mist and Fury was one of my ultimate anticipated releases. I need more Tamlin and Rhysand in my life. I’m still seriously hoping and praying there’s no love triangle though.

Also, be proud of me, I have plans to finally read Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas this month! The bookstagram peer pressure has finally paid off. I’m going to read Throne of Glass this month even if it kills me.

Super ambitious May TBR, will I be able to do it? Probably not, but one can hope! ❤

TBR JAR:

I didn’t end up getting to Small Circles by Megan Duke, but I’m hoping to get to it this month! Fingers crossed!

Hey, hey guys! March was such a great reading month, so many new favorite books! My favorite was probably Lady Midnight (I admit it, I’m Cassie Clare trash), but The Wrath and the Dawn was amazing as well! I’m dying for both Lord of Shadows and The Rose and the Dagger to come out. I need them!

Anyways, other updates and news, the book club I’m apart of (@theliterarylions) will be reading These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner as our April in Space book of the month. I’ve had this book on my TBR for such a long time for I’m super excited to read it! I hope you all decide to join us!

Also, it’s kind of pathetic, but I’m almost caught up on watching Naruto (there are like 600+ episodes). So far I’ve watched the dubbed version, but I’m almost out of them so I’ll most likely be switching to subs soon. I think I have a problem. What’s the fastest you’ve ever finished a TV show?

I hope you all had a great March! Here’s to a great April as well ❤

*dramatic drumroll*

Small Circles by Megan Duke! I won this book in a giveaway a couple of years ago and it’s still been sitting on my shelf unread. Glad I can finally check it off my ever-growing TBR list! 🙂

Another great reading month for me! I’ve been so surprised with how many books I’ve been able to get done. It would be helpful if I could stop buying more though, heheh 😉

March is going to be a pretty busy month for me. The book club I am apart of (@theliterarylions) will be reading Me Before You by Jojo Moyes as our Movie March book of the month. I’ve heard so many great things about this book so I’m super excited to read it! I expect there to be a lot of tears. Hooray? Don’t forget to discuss with us in our Goodreads group!

Also another bookstagramer (@_forevermint) and I are hosting a readalong for the Waterfire saga by Jennifer Donnelly, so I’m also excited for that! Our official hashtag is #mermaidreadalong and the reading schedule is:

I’ve also been marathon watching one of my favorite childhood anime’s Naruto! It’s been taking up a lot of my reading time, but I’m going to try to make room to read and watch since I started slacking off on reading toward the end of February. I’ve just forgotten how much I loved the show as a kid. I’m so glad to be watching it again! I don’t remember crying so much while watching it as a kid though. 😥

That’s all for this post, happy reading guys! I’ll talk to you all soon! ❤

If you haven’t read my review for Attachments by Rainbow Rowell, which was my last TBR Jar pick, you can do so here.

In that review, I also announced my November TBR Jar pick which will be…

Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld!

I don’t know much about this book, but I’m excited to read it! It’s pretty long so I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish it in November along with all the other books I want to read. It definitely won’t be a top priority of mine.

AHHHHHHH! I’M SO EXCITED FOR WINTER!

NOT the season by the way! The book by Marissa Meyer! I have pretty high expectations, which I know is very dangerous, but I just really hope it’s good and that everyone gets their happy ending. Yes, even you Levana, even though you’re absolutely crazy!

I’m also very pumped for November 9! I love, love Colleen Hoover and I have pretty high hopes for this one too! I guess we’ll see how they are. I’ve already pre-ordered both, so hopefully I can get them soon after their release. My only probably is deciding which one I want to read first! Oh the struggle!

TBR Jar Pick:

Still Attachments by Rainbow Rowell! Top priority for October, I can do this!

Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry for being completely MIA September. School is killing me! I get home, do homework and by then I’m just exhausted.

October is going to be an even more busy for me because of this thing my school does called Skit Nite which is basically a play that each grade writes and then performs live in front of an audience in November. I don’t have a huge part or anything, but I did it last year and it took up a lot of time so I’m going to be really busy until the show is over. It’s a ton of fun though so I’m excited to get started!

I’ll try my best to get some reading done and maybe write some reviews this month, but I have no clue, I’ll try my best I promise!
